Jean-Luc Neptune, MD MBA is a physician and co-founder of Suntra Modern Recovery. Dr. Neptune earned a BA from Columbia College at Columbia University, an MD from the Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons, and an MBA at the Wharton School. Dr. Neptune completed a residency in internal medicine at Presbyterian Hospital in New York City and is licensed to practice medicine in the state of New York.
Dr. Neptune's work in recovery started in college as part of an NCAA-funded grant that employed student athletes to deliver drug and alcohol peer education services to other students. He is currently a DATA 2000 wavered provider, and has received training on addiction and Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT).
In the past Dr. Neptune served as Entrepreneur-in-Residence at the Hospital For Special Surgery, was the General Manager of the Health 2.0 Catalyst innovation program, and continues to serve as a Partner at Blueprint Health, the pioneering digital health accelerator.
Dr. Neptune is passionate about developing innovative new ways to deliver healthcare to people with addiction. He's a frequent guest at conferences and other digital health events. Dr. Neptune lives in Manhattan with his wife and two sons and in his off time enjoys reading, film, running, and coaching little league.
